random
Just a random post, of random things...
My beautiful curly girls...
I simply couldn't walk away from these cute summer dresses a while back, we're wearing them with
long sleeves under for now...
Still been working away on the house, (kids rooms)
We painted the middle boys room gray for a change of pace, (before the carpet went in)
I redid their walls and have been having fun putting it all back together...
There is still quite a bit to do before I do a full blog post about how the room works.
But be on the lookout (especially those with SPD) kids...
I'll be showing you ALL the great sensory details soon.
I had a pretty awesome "moving" crew for some painting help and
to get all the
furniture moved out of and back into
the kids rooms!
These guys seriously rock!
We are aching for the "wind" of spring to go away but the nice
weather to go ahead and arrive wind free
(Lydi is wearing a cute Beautiful Brown Eyed Girl Boutique skirt here)
my gorgeous kids...
The girls adore their carpet too... I can't say how many times evie has thanked us for putting
soft fuzzy carpet in her room!

My favorite things... 2014 edition
For Christmas this year we very carefully chose our gifts especially for the girls...
I wanted to get them items that held a special meaning!
This is why I hit Etsy, I wanted one of a kind gifts, personal gifts
and I wanted to support venders not giant companies.
(this isn't to say we didn't shop at big companies too, just tried to do the big gifts from individuals!)
I wanted to highlight some of them here because I FINALLY got the girl's gifts put up and away!
I'll start at the top, and work my way down, visit these shops, they are GREAT!!
SO happy with the items we purchased!
(fyi, none of them have a clue I'm doing this post)
1. First of course, is highlighted on my blog often, the clothes you see my girls wearing in the framed pictures, two of the doll dresses and the adorable skirt/dress in the bottom right is also from there:
2. I had these peg dolls custom made of our family, I adore them, they are so much fun and Evie LOVES that her's is wearing of course, her super dress (which was first designed by Beautiful Brown Eyed Girl Boutique)... The dolls are adorable, I was able to send her a picture of our family and she gave them details to define who was who! From:
3. AMAZING... All I had to do was tell her the quote I wanted, the colors and that my little one loves birds... She custom created the print below for my Fierce little superhero! I ADORE it, and seriously, that was the FASTEST service EVER! From:
For Lydi's birthday we purchased her dress and bloomer set from:
and the BEAUTIFUL feather headband from:
Also, obviously not individuals, but so totally worth mentioning...
We got each of our kids a cup from Tervis, and you know what, if you get an individual image on the front, you can get their names put on the back!
SERIOUSLY AWESOME!
and when the kids knock them over or even accidentally shoot them off the counter,
they don't break... and.... the lid stays on!
BEST CUPS EVER!
and, in the picture behind the girls, see that cool light?!
(I can't get a very good picture of it, but seriously, it is BEAUTIFUL!!!)
and it is a natural air filter, I can tell a HUGE difference in my allergies!

"Mission Begin!"
As I have mentioned before, we live our daily lives with a superhero!
"Though she be but little, she is fierce"
~Shakespeare~
Our superhero is all things feminine and girly, and yet she is also fierce and fiery
she climbs rocks and trees, and picks up bugs all in a dress with a stuffed bunny in tow.
She is a superhero long before she is a princess, but a girly superhero.
She is also stylish, seriously, I have never in my life known a girl who knew her "style"
and knew what she liked from so tiny, even at one she was opinionated about her clothes.
A few months ago we were laughing about the gifts she has, her strengths and her delight in such
a funny combo of girly and superhero and hubby came up with the idea of a super suit...
but not your average run of the mill suit of dress up clothes, something she could actually wear.
I contacted Amy of Beautiful Brown Eyed Girl Boutique right away
and of course, she took our loose idea and created this unbelievable "super suit"
that could not be more "Evie". Seriously, I don't know how she does it.
But no dress could be more perfectly fitted to our super.
Last night there was word that the park was in trouble
so our superhero and her photographer (me) were dispatched to investigate.
She is always up for a bad guy fighting adventure...
"Let the Mission begin!!!!"
starting with sweet glances around to survey the situation...
THEN... start "saving the day"
Chasing down the bad guys...
(my favorite shot of the day)
Discovering the badguys stole all the icecream in town...
"those guys goin' down...."
"whap, boom, zap"
"I frew 'em all in jail"
"superhero work is exhausting! ooops, time to save the day again...."
Be sure to check out
You won't be sorry!!! They are our absolutely most favorite clothes ever!
