I picked up my camera! For REAL

To me the most momentous thing that happened over the past week was that on Saturday I was FINALLY able to let a small portion of my creativity loose, that creativity that has been threatening my sanity over the past four weeks of sitting in a chair recuperating from this surgery.

My amazing boys and my AWESOME hubby hauled all my backdrops and props and helped arrange everything for me and I was able to click away.

The main reason for the shoot of a few of my babies was for this "Little Hatchlings" headband!
Another very momentous thing for me as I so enjoy doing this type of work!
Please be sure to swing by and visit her etsy shop
I love this headband, and many of her others, her work is beautiful!

I also got to break in a new backdrop and some new ideas I had while "sitting"

In the end it was a lot for my physically, But the benifit emotionally was worth it's weight in gold for me! OH to be creative and useful again! It was GREAT! AND I have some new pictures for my picture wall.
Be sure and check out:

Momentous Monday..

Obviously these pictures weren't taken in the last week seeing as how we're in the dead of winter, BUT they were sent to me by a dear friend in the last week. I was SO thrilled to receive them when I checked my email one evening recently. They are such a precious gift to me. This pictures captured of my amazing hubby and I sitting beside the lake last June. Just being who we are. Best friends and chatting together.  I didn't even know she captured these shots of us. But I am SO thankful she did. Her timing in sending them on could not have been better.
It was such a beautiful gift, as I'd been sitting in my recliner most of the day thinking over what a precious gift my husband is. Thinking about how 12 years ago this month is when we became engaged and thinking about how much we have walked through together in that 12 years. I love that our friendship has strengthened and I have seen my husband's love for me proved over and over.

He has served me SO much over the past 2 1/2 weeks, I couldn't even begin to list everything he has done. He has walked through this surgery every single step of the way. Supported me, encouraged me, helped me do even the simplest tasks like getting to the bathroom or bringing my toothbrush to the bed when the pain was to bad for me to get to the sink. He set alarms for the first week and got up to get my medications, he has held me as I have cried over the pain, cried over the loss. He has served the meals we have been given, taken care of our children, made great healthy breakfasts... Told you there was to much to list!!

Even with the pressures of needing to be at work, my husband sacrifices self and serves me. I am so blessed to be loved as Christ loved the church. Giving himself up for her.

THAT is the moment I cherish this week... EACH moment that I am with him.
My very best friend.
