I share this today, with a lump in my throat and a truly shattered heart. I have read over and over about the institutions that downs syndrome children are sent to after they turn 5... It has always broken me. Seeing their images is no different, awareness has to be raised. Homes need to be found for these precious babies before it's to late and they spend their lives tied to a crib. I pray that as I share this, it moves your heart. I pray that you will consider how you might help, most especially the little girl who kept me awake most of the night.
Her face is burned into my heart, she is so precious and looking at her picture so looks as if she is just crying out "please, SOMEBODY, love me."
I don't think I've ever asked for a donation to anything on this blog. Today I'm telling you, pleading with you... YOU can make a difference for some of these children, these precious babies who are institution bound. They don't need a better institution, they need a HOME. I saw a quote on the sidebar of a blog last night that said
"you don't have to adopt to make a difference."
Maybe YOU can make a difference for Albina? Please? http://reecesrainbow.org/albina-15h
I learned about her through this post: http://www.storinguptreasures.com/2011/05/what-if.html
