20 months old...

I am SO beyond floored that my beautiful girl is 20 months old already,
seems like it was just yesterday that her birth mom placed her into my arms with tears in her eyes
and such love and pure pride and joy in her heart.

I LOVE you Dolly girl!
 You are SO amazing...

Cake Smash...

My beautiful baby girl, my youngest child is one now.
We had a lovely Paris themed cake smash party for her, I had such a wonderful time making things for her party, pulling everything together just beautifully!
Enjoy a peak at her party day (which also happened to be her "gotcha day")

My first shot at making my own chocolates, it was FUN!

also my first try at whoopee pies!
Chocolate with strawberry buttercream frosting

Lydi is very shy, and was super overwhelmed by everyone singing to her.
She didn't cry, but she wouldn't touch the cake with an audience!
She just sat there looking down
ADORABLE!

But once the crowd dwindled, and with a little coaxing from Grandpa...
She dove in...
Only ate a bite or two, but had fun mushing it with her toes and laughing

I love you baby girl, with my whole entire heart!

8 months old

Sisterhood is all new to me,
I've never experienced the bond that exists between sisters.

Evie has been fiercely protective of Lydi even before I knew Lydi was truly on the way.
The Christmas Eve (just 3 days before Lydi was born) Evie told me she prayed and knew that her sister
was coming home soon, she waited at the kitchen window for days,
just watching for her sister to come down our drive.

Then when we brought Lydia home the long held tradition of oldest holds first was NOT okay
with Evelyn, she sobbed hysterically.

But after calm, she held her sister and then looked up at me and said
"I not Ebie, I big sister"

And true to her word, to this day she regularly reminds us that her name is BIG SISTER.

When you have six kids there are several different dynamics & different bonds...
There is the bond of brotherhood, the bond of big brother protection for little sisters, and now,
sisterhood

Each one is amazing, each one is unique and beautiful to behold (most of the time)
As Lydi is growing and changing she has had a steady and constant support in her big sister.
Evelyn was created to be a big sister to a precious little sister
Lydia was created for the roll of little sister, looking up to her with delight
for almost nobody can make her laugh like her big sister.

I am SO thankful to be a spectator in this beautiful bond
