Tuesday Ten ~Weekends are for...~

1. Staying in pajamas late into the morning & playing with a good buddy.

2. Defending the damsel in distress! 

3. Being a damsel in distress complete with a very authentic "ah, hep..." 

4. Good food! Breakfast burritos will make any weekend GREAT!

5. Hanging around

6. being silly with potato chips!

 7. Taking time to stop and smell the flowers

8. Cherishing the five blessings in our arms while praying for our sixth blessing

9. Savoring every moment with Daddy home.

10. Delighting in the intricacy in creation all around us (more to come on THIS one soon!) 

Tuesday Ten ~thankful for~

This week has been MUCH better, by Thursday morning last week the pain from the ruptured ovarian cysts was finally gone (I had a rupture on each side, NOT fun!) 

So this week I am thankful for:

1. Feeling good enough to capture this AMAZING shot of my boy with piercing blue eyes!

2. A little girl who know how to pose.

3. The bond between my kids and my parents

4. My children are blessed by generations of people who love them and are giving a legacy of faith in God. 

5. Glorious storm clouds and nondescript colors

6. Learning & teaching

7. The opportunity to SEE, Photograph and study bears! 

8. & 9. Excitement to learn and skills being honed

10. My parents...

Words just can't say how amazing they are.

How thankful I am for them

Every single thing they do!

Tuesday Ten ~SO much to be thankful for~

Yes, I am very thankful this week! Here is why:

1. My beautiful little model who helps me advertise that the loft is now a studio... (I'm taking a short break right now, but wow I'd love to do portraits of your kids in my loft studio this winter!) 

2. GORGEOUS brown eyes and a sparkly smile on a silly little girl! 

3. A little girl who gets crazy curls and a sweet smile when the tylonal kicks in during a nasty virus...

4. The sweet excitement on a little boy when he discovered his cousin Evie came to his birthday party!

5. The thrill of watching him "help" her have a good time

6. Beautiful blue eyed birthday boys

7: Watching him catch Evie so she'd be "safe" at the bottom of the slide

8. Rosy cheeked boys enjoying snow-cones on a hot summer day

9. GORGEOUS brown eyes on a sweet little girl

10: The incredible opportunities that arise from adoption, the comfort God can give to a grieving heart and the beauty of touching a life and shining God's light into it even if for only a moment. 

I will always treasure this baby's time in our home (I blocked her face for privacy reasons) 

But even more, I treasure the opportunity to pray for her and her mom & sisters for the rest of my life.

I am blessed with an amazing husband and five beautiful children and somewhere out there our number six is waiting for us!

Tuesday Ten (it's the little things)

It's all the little things, I'm learning... in each day that make up a thankful heart. 

I saw such a difference for me, to actually capture those moments with my camera vs. just writing them down. It somehow embedded those gift moments in my heart... So here I am again, with Tuesday Ten

1: Little Dreamy silent moments

2: The little face, oh so dirty and yet exquisite but sad at the absence of her big brothers (for a birthday party)

3: Delight upon their arrival home

&

4: Motherhood, and the job of giving comfort for little owies

5: Lego men... ALWAYS, many many lego men... 

and incredible imaginations and stories behind their little lives.

6: The delight of creating a "new" look with only a little shifting of furniture.

7: Scrapbooking supplies, organized, lined up and ready for creative juices to flow once again.

The desire to undertake that hobby that has long been

dormant due to grief and the healing it will bring.

8: Progress, a little simple progress in a cluttered space... BIG dreams unfolding before my eyes a little bit at a time.

9: Early Morning Tea with the little "ladies" & Pooh bear. 

10: the little legs that make up my life... Chasing, running, playing, training, guiding, pursuing.... 

Tuesday Ten...

Last week I saw on The Little Red Hen that my dear friend is participating in this Tuesday Ten...  I LOVED seeing a sum up of her week with ten pictures... Visiting the blog "Under the Table and Dreaming" was a delight as well: So I decided to try it too.

Because we all know I'm just a big copy cat 

(remember imitation is the sincerest form of flattery)

This is a REALLY neat idea

We all know I'm not very good at sticking to and doing these things BUT,

 I am doing it this week and you may or may not see it again!  

(hows that for noncommittal)

As I thought about this it also reminded me of the "Thankful Tuesday" posts I used to participate in, this is rather a list of things I'm thankful for as well.

ENJOY a peak into my WEEK

#1:  My faithful delphinium, when all my other plants have died, this one continues to bloom faithfully every single year even when being ignored... 

#2:  French braids! She looked SO cute

#3: being blessed to celebrate my beautiful niece

#4: Perfect little curls, on my sweet curly girly

#5: Being related to royalty

#6: Storm clouds building in the sky (OH HOW exciting) 

#7: Enough rain dropped by said clouds to make puddles enough for stomping in...

#8: Boys, doing BOY things

#9: The beyond PURE joy and delight experienced by boys walking on a bridge above the freeway in the city for the first time... "THE CARS are going right under my TOES" 

#10: My second son, my miracle baby who is about to turn 9 years old & a start on his 9 year portraits
